Why Are More People Choosing Six-Shuttle Circular Looms Over Four-Shuttle ones?

In the production of plastic woven bags, the circular loom is the core equipment of the entire production line. For entrepreneurs preparing to set up a factory or upgrade their equipment, one of the most common questions is: should I buy a four-shuttle circular loom or a six-shuttle circular loom?
On the surface, this is just a difference in the number of shuttles. But in actual production, this choice directly affects multiple factors such as production capacity and costs, ultimately determining the factory's profitability.
The difference between a four-shuttle circular loom and a six-shuttle circular loom lies in the number of shuttles. A four-shuttle loom has four shuttles, while a six-shuttle loom has six. In the production of woven bags, the shuttles carry the weft yarn back and forth, interlacing it with the warp yarn to form the fabric. The more shuttles there are, the more interlacing cycles are completed per unit of time.
Therefore, in terms of output, under the same rotational speed, the production capacity of a six-shuttle loom is about 50% higher than that of a four-shuttle loom. This means that with 24-hour operation, a six-shuttle loom can produce nearly 50% more finished fabric rolls. For factories with stable orders, this efficiency advantage directly translates into higher output value.
Let's also analyze the cost aspect. The labor cost in a woven bag workshop mainly comes from loom operators—each worker can operate a limited number of machines. Since a six-shuttle loom has higher single-machine output, achieving the same daily production requires fewer machines, and accordingly, fewer operators are needed. Additionally, fabrics produced by six-shuttle circular looms are smoother and flatter, which significantly reduces the defect rate, thereby saving on raw material costs.
Therefore, currently, more customers prefer six-shuttle circular looms over four-shuttle ones.
